Coronation Street's Sol Heras says his alter-ego Ryan Connor will hook up with an older woman, but who will be Mr Connor's cougar?
Ryan's new girlfriend will stun all on't cobbles; her identity will be revealed in the coming weeks. Talking about the storyline, actor Sol told Inside Soap: "Ryan's new love interest is a cougar! It'll come as quite a shock, but I can't tell you who it is."
If the newcomer had his way, his screen love interest would be Rovers Return landlady Stella Price (played by Michelle Collins). But if I had my way, it would be 'scary' Mary Taylor (the brilliant Patti Clare).
It's entirely possible that Ryan's lady will not be from Coronation Street, but what if she is? In this gallery, we assess the likely candidates.

Agree with a previous comment Corrie is getting too stupid for words and it is losing its lovely Northern approach. RYAN has changed far too much from the lad that left for University into quite a horrible specimen. His older woman it has to be Tracy Barlow.
Think we need to rethink some of the story lines perhaps bring a script writer who is not gay!

I think it will either be Sally or Stella, I just can't see another married woman having another affair on the street. It would be funny for it to be Mary giving that she's a really passionate woman.

Usually after one partner has had an affair they make the other one just as bad, so that way it could be stella. He could even be picking up the pieces from and upset soul like Sally? She's been through a rough time, and he can't have her daughter! But maybe he could be getting involved with Maria? Someone else to break Jasons heart.
All I'm saying is, it better be good cause I'm sick of these pathetic and boring storylines. Is there a new director because they are doing a lot of dangerous moves bringing in new characters- fairly often aswell.

must admit corrie is going down the pan . Have never watched eastenders and never will a tale of london morons but corrie turning into a tale of muddled morons .Story line crap this ryan connor geezer perfect for eastenders coz he cant act.Need the life and times of yorkshire folk we have more humour in our little finger.

Why has the street become another version of Eastenders ? It is losing its Northern roots and sense of humour. I have never watched a full episode of Eastenders. I always used to switch off before the first commercials. It depressed me to the point of needing medication. I now find that the same is happening with the Street. The local accents are disappearing. The elderly no longer have the good story lines and are edged out by the " immigrants " from the South. The scriptwriters don't live in the real world. Since when do flights leave for Los Angeles leave at night ? Does Carla have a private jet ? Residents arrive from the airport and carry their luggage on their little fingers because they only contain air rather than the maximum weight allowed by the cut price airlines which is what most folks use these days. Get back to reality Corrie. You are losing the plot.

Corrie is no longer the soap that was, who on earth are the script writers?? since most of the older ones have gone it has just gone off -- hope they read this, the same applies to the so called Carla's brother he can't even act, where do they get them from???
