Why Billy Mitchell should've gone instead of Heather: Like last year's milk, I'd say Billy is past his sell-by date. The latest attempt to give him another dimension, via granddaughter Lola, hasn't been as successful as the writers would've hoped. There are times when he feels like little more than a peripheral character - Heather can get away with that standing better than Billy.

I love how soaps like Corination Street, EastEnders etc. have resorted to killing off major characters in an attempt to make people start watching them again.

Ideal plot. Ben finds slapper Kim in bed with Dererek, shoots them both in a fit of jealousy then turns the gun on himself. Get rid of 3 rubbish characters in one go.

When Eastenders started it depicted life and characters in the East End of London.
Now it's totally untruthful, these people have long gone from the East End of London.
This area in which I grew up in no longer has any English people, except for a few elderly people.
They should bring Eastenders up to date, no queen Vic, but the local Mosque featured, and most of the characters should be called Mohammed. London has changed, over the decades, but Eastenders has not.
Eastenders has become the strangest and most bizzar form of total fiction.

Too much misery and violence in most of the soaps. At least a dozen characters
should have been axed.
Where is all the laughter in Eastenders gone.
Wont be watching any of them, would rather watch cartoons.

There are several members of the cast that should have been retired from Eastenders long ago.
Instead of moving them on the writers keep adding to the cast.
As far as I am concerned Eastenders could be taken off now.
