Cindy died in prison so there can be no third return for Michelle Collins who is now propping up the bar in rival soap, Coronation Street. She played EastEnders' legendary Cindy Beale from 1988-90, reprising the role in 1992-96 and 1997-98.

For many years lots of commentators have said certain actors have used Eastenders as a moneybox or a job stopgap , and we can all see why . Why no mention of Babs Windsor ? . All the returners usually disappear around panto time . They should be like the characters that play the Barlows in Corrie - be glad of the money and regular work .

Can't act to save her life,the only work she gets is Eastenders that's why she and the rest of her mob keep crawling back. Eastenders should be put to sleep.

come on government if the rubbish the bbc insist on pushing is supposed to be entertaining which it is not then abolish the licence fee and make the bbc fund itself.
