The star of the hit TV series has died in Italy, aged 51.
Sharon's return: 10 things that struck me
Sharon's back! The original Princess of Walford has returned for her fourth stint in EastEnders in typically dramatic style; she showed up in a bridal gown - and floods of tears - on the doorstep of her ex, Phil Mitchell. Here are 10 things that struck me most about her comeback.
The runaway bride - When Phil flung open his front door to find Sharon on the run from her wedding day, there were shades of Friends. Remember Rachel in the opening scene after she'd fled tying the knot with Barry and turned up pleading for help from old best friend Monica?
Or, for the sci-fi geeks, there were shades of Donna Noble's first Doctor Who appearance when she'd been plucked from the altar and dropped into the Tardis. And to think, some said Sharon returning to Walford was a sign the show's bosses had run out of unoriginal ideas.
And the Eastenders carousel goes on. What's next - does it turn out that Den isn't dead after all and it was actually his twin brother who got killed. After all, there never seems to be a shortage of new faaaaamily members who turn up in the Square with a 'dark secret'.
Same old crap same old faces can they not manage real acting.
Also with the sort of crap the bbc show it is high time the tv licence was abolished in favour of adverts or pay to view and not by illegal government funding of a private company.
Pathetic could have put a blonde wig on a plank of wood, writers loosing the plot.
Soaps are supposed to reflect life ?????? Good role model for impressionable youngsters when a known murderer is getting away with it.
I now wait with bated breath for her next 'comeback'.. and the one after.. and the one after that..
Eastenders is long past it's sell by date . They keep churning out the sma old tosh year after year !! It is dead!! Then they try to bring back characters who are also past their sell by date, and non of it works. That's why they bring back these actors....because they aren't working either!!! Time to call it a day on Eastenders BBC.
In fact Albert Square should have been used in an Olympics story line, and that is that it all had to be knocked down to make way for the Olympic Stadium.
S illy O afish A basing P athetic
Programme
.l watch the soap and missed a lot because of the olympics .sharon is back because she needs to return to what she is familiar with she wants a slice of the action again be fair she was pretty good maybe it will lift the ratings who knows just have to wait and see
non actors. A CRAP soap full of CRAP actors!!!!!!!!!
Oh and it`s NOT real and in no way reflects real life!
