EastEnders extra scene hails Team GB success

Hot on the heels of EastEnders' eight-minute Olympic torch live insert (featuring Billy Mitchell played by actor Perry Fenwick), the BBC soap is getting ready to do it all over again thanks to Team GB's huge success.
In a bid to seem ultra topical, it's only natural for EastEnders' Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) and Tyler Moon (Tony Discipline) to do what we're all doing; heap praise on the athletes.
So in a sequence being edited into the episode due to air tonight at 7.30pm on BBC2, the three characters will also talk about their pride as east Londoners.
Executive Producer, Lorraine Newman, said: "Following EastEnders' involvement with the Olympic torch relay, we are delighted to have the opportunity to reflect the current sentiment of the entire country. Team GB have made so many people truly proud to be British and we wish them continued success."
