Poor Mary has had cold water poured on her aspirations and must feel just like the bulldog portrayed in Elgar's enigma variation No 10 (whose over exuberance, as he scurried along the river bank in pursuit of his owner, led to him tumbling down the embankment and splashing into the river). At least we may be spared, the endless diatribes about Sister Kevin. Somehow though; I don't think that we've seen the last of Mary just yet.

 Phil collinson, in his latest interview, has denied that Lewis is to be "killed off" and also denied earlier newspaper reports, that Sophie Webster will become addicted to drugs; Somehow, I didn't think that Corrie would ever have the courage to invoke such a storyline and see it through to a believable conclusion. Nor do I think that they will really go into the full ins and outs of surrogacy in the next ridiculous storyline viewing Thursday & Friday. Meanwhile, the secret of Tracy becoming Ryan's cougar, is now out.
