It's incredible to think X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary has hosted the popular ITV1 talent show for six years. He's heard a great deal of tracks during the course of that time, but admits to getting sick and tired of the same songs being churned out day after day.

"You do think, 'I can't possibly listen to these songs again'," he said at the launch for the ninth series. "You do get sick of hearing the same thing. There's Adele and Etta James' At Last which stand out for me."

Never mind all that; what we really want to know is whether Dermot will be bringing back his dance moves?

"I don't know yet. I think we'll sort of see where the mood takes us. I like to think what comes out of my mouth is better than what comes out of my feet. We'll see - never say never. I can't believe how much I'm asked about that dance!"

Dermot also had a word of advice for anyone hoping to be crowned X Factor winner: "To do well on the X Factor, you need to do a lot of work, especially if you want to reach the latter stages."

He added: "What people see on a Saturday night is a such a small part, you can't possibly capture it. Plus, these people have been working for years before the show. There are very few overnight success stories."

X Factor starts Saturday 18 August at 8pm on ITV1
