The star of the hit TV series has died in Italy, aged 51.
Louis Walsh's deadlock decision was 'a joke' says Gary
Louis Walsh caused nation-wide controversy on Sunday's (7 October) X Factor results show when he opted not to save Carolynne Poole from going home, meaning that Rylan Clark got to stay in the competition.
In what some are calling the 'fix factor', Louis first decided to save Carolynne, before he swiftly changed his mind and announced that he wanted the decision to go to deadlock, meaning that Carolynne was sent home. What's more, eagle-eyed viewers spotted the Executive Producer of the show, Richard Holloway, chatting to Louis before he made his decision. Could Louis have been told what to say?
Twitter has since erupted with complaints towards the show, with many stating that they think Louis' decision was influenced by the show's producers. Viewer Lee Copeland (@copey87) tweeted: "Why did Louis say he saved Carolynne then change his mind after she celebrated? Harsh."
Celebrity journalist Dan Wootton (@danwootton) said: "You can just imagine the X Factor producers right now begging Tulisa and Louis to save Rylan. They neeed him for the ratings. #XFactor".
Meanwhile, Celebrity Big Brother star Coleen Nolan said: "Just caught up with X factor I'm horrified!! What a joke and a total fix!!"
Viewers weren't the only people who were annoyed by Louis' decision though; Gary Barlow stormed off the stage when it was revealed that Carolynne would be going home.
“It’s an absolute joke. Two years running you’ve lost out to joke acts,” Gary said to Carolynne, who was the victim of a controversial decision by Louis.

This competition is supposed to be about the singing ability and not just the entertainment factor. Especially as one Fag voted to save another Fag!!! Every year we get some waste of space on the programme, and what happens????? They get through a few rounds knocking out people who are far better singers and performers. People need to get serious and only vote for the person who has got the Vocal Ability and who does not make your ears cry.
well that is a good reason to stop watching, what i thought was a good tv show. So obviously rigged that we all saw the guy telling Louis to make it a deadlock. goodbye X factor
Am I Bitter? NO. Am I Jealous? NO... I AM FUMING . . . And Louis would Never have the Intelligence (or the balls) to know why. . . . . I AM ANGRY BECAUSE, IN HIS STUPID, CHILDISH TWITTERING AND FAFFING ABOUT - - HE ACTUALLY SAID, "I DON'T WANT TO SEND CAROLYNNE HOME" - - SO THAT MEANT RYLAN HAD TO GO....... Then, The Big Baby Changed His Mind. Imagine how that young lady felt. She heard him say She was Staying.. to Find out, less than 5 minutes later, that Louis's Stupid Behaviour Had Lost Her Her Last Chance Of Stardom. Because we have another favourite, (And cannot yet see how Louis's Stupidity can ruin Her chances of Stardom,) We shall watch again Next Week. But, Any More Childish Behaviour by the little demonic Irish Elf, and we shall be Joining the THOUSANDS Who Have Already Caused Viewing Figures To Slump.
If anyone still says there isn't any rigging taking place in X Factor, they're officially a ****!
Now let's see...
First during Carolynne's performance, a stage tech happens to be whispering to Louis Walsh.
Then they begin the judge's votes and happen to finish off on Louis' vote last.
Then after Louis announces (clearly) that he wanted to save Carolynne, Dermot asks Louis' to repeat his answer (which Dermit has never done before at any vote off on any series EVER).
Then it goes to deadlock which on top of all the bizarre coincidences above, happens to play against Carolynne...
I mean come on... how stupid do ITV producers think we are??
