The wait is nearly over as The Voice will launch on Saturday 24 March, the same day as Britain's Got Talent. As if to prepare for the battle ahead, The Voice UK's Reggie Yates has already hit out at rival show, The X Factor.
Talking to Attitude magazine, he said: "On another show, where someone's father has nearly died and they've held the note, they're good to go. But that's not what The Voice is about. Ours is far more credible than any other music competition show that I have seen. It's about musical talent, not about how they're dressed or how good they look."

People like myself who are in 'proper' bands laugh at this type of show. I'm sick and tired of listening to the whining 'Singing is all I've ever wanted to do' crowd. If that were the case, why aren't any of them in a band already. It's surprising how many Karaoke hogging individuals think how great they are when in fact they haven't got a clue about stage craft or presence.
I think its about time a proper music contest was created where 'real bands' perform. No miming or backing tracks - proper instruments played by people who have strived to get noticed for years. Not your 2 second escalator to fame with one audition.

Let some of these wannabe's go to some of the clubs that have crowds who are hard to please. It's not just given to you on a plate.

people have this overwhelming desire to be rich and famous MINUS the work involved......it's no wonder that most "popstars" have the shelf life of a bag of tayto cheese and onion these days.
It also says a lot about the lack of good drama/adventure/ mystery on TV ......... where are the good writers?
We all sang in front of the mirror and wished to be Marc Bolan or Cher but it seems a lot
of us never grew up.

Any credibilty that this show might have had went right out of the window when they annouced Will.I.am as one of the mentors - Dick.he.is would be more accurate. Of course inviting Chezza to mime on the show hasn't done it any favours either'.

Are you high!? It's rubbish because the audience can't boo? One of *many* reasons I despise the X factor with all my tiny black heart is because of the braying morons in the audience who seem to think that because a judge criticises some one armed blind spastic with dead pets and family's 415th rendition of a Mariah Carey track that evening, they're entitled to boo. Some people suck and they shouldn't be protected from that fact or they'll bring other people down with them. It's called science.

Seriously, does anyone really expect THE VOICE to NOT follow the same gameplan as X-Factor, honestly?
It will be a matter of episodes before the judges are bickering with each other, the acts are all in tears because "They want it so much".
They knock the show, but it's only because of the success of X-Factor that this show has got the go ahead.
The BBC want to compete with ITV, the only way they can compete is bring the same style of show to their channel.

Another silly show where people will be groomed and brushed up electronically and manufactured into the media spotlight, fed up of this now bring back the 60s 70s 80s and 90s where music was real raw and not artificial and people could actually sing. "The voice" well great title but I'm sure it will be full of people who just want the five minutes of fame here today gone tomorrow.

oh they must be losing cash BBC because this will probly be another money making show phone now to cast you votes price is £1 from BT landline mobiles may differ...get lost and keep off our TV we dont want another talentless show like this.....me and my friends agree never to phone another vote tv programme....if people are this good go to a proper job interview why should we pay...?
