With anticipation building throughout the week, it was the first live show for the BBC's talent show The Voice UK- and my, did it kick off with a bang!
Coaches Tom Jones, Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Will I Am opened the show singing U2's Beautiful Day- with not one note out of place.
With 20 artists remaining the competition- Team Tom and Team Will were competing to keep their singers in the competition.
"I'm so confident about my final five," Will I Am said.
Despite fighting talk from the coaches, it is down to the public to decide who will stay...
Let's have a look at who sang for their place...
I'm Going Down: Mary J Blige
Joelle Moses: "I wanted to be a singer all my life. In school I pretended to be Destiny's Child- I was always Beyonce."

I thought the song choices were bad. Sam and Sophie were absolute rubbish. Why can't the judges be honest with their comments. They told Matt and Sueleen that their harmonies were fantastic. I was waiting for one of the judges to say that Sueleen was singing flat, and that they murdered a great Fleetwood Mac song.

What was up with all the excuses adam isaac was giving? It really put me off him, never mind his wooden performance.

Jessie J needs to get of her self importannce platform, why would anyone be watching her cry when Ruth Brown was singing, what a voice Ruth blows Jessie J out of the water

Ruth was fantastic what a voice! Please please dress Ruth to suit her figure the yellow dress made her look much larger than she is and was awful! Dress her classy longer dresses tapering in from the hips not out.

In all talent shows I have seen,I have never heard anything as incredible as Ruth's high note register.She took her voice to a place not even Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston has ever been...Just to think, on her first appearance she was nearly passed over, [as good singers were], saved by a last gasp spin around from Sir Tom.. I would like to wish you Good Luck.....but ,in reality you don't need it !!! You and " The Voice " have got my full attention.

I thought that Ruth Brown was absolutely fantastic as was Jazz Elington who i was convinced would win the show until Ruth sang. Terrific show best music contest ever.

yep, Ruth Jaz and Tyler are class acts the rest are OK ish, but gandalf and Golem should go home, what a dreadful rendition of a great fleetwood song.

Sam Buttery and Sophie Griffin were pretty poor tbh.
Jaz - Ruth - Joelle and Frances are by far superior to the rest.
I understand and applaud that the coaches don't want to kill their dreams, but when they sing as badly as Sam buttery did, they could at least acknowledge that he had some serious tuning issues, even if cloaked in a statement like he was nervous. By saying all of them are great, it really does leave you wondering whether the coaches have gone tone deaf themselves.
All the same, very interesting still.

I think Jaz and Ruth are sensational they both sing so beautifully best by far.I love the Voice its so much better than Simon Cowells crap on ITV.
