The Voice UK launched in a blaze of publicity which saw the BBC talent show rule the ratings until the live shows kicked in. Rumours abound that Sir Tom Jones and/or Jessie J will/have quit. What's the latest news?
Sir Tom Jones has revealed he would like to do another series of The Voice, but only if he approves of the rest of the judging panel.
The 72-year-old Welsh singer - who previously revealed he had only joined the panel of the BBC talent show after he knew all the other coaches were musicians and performers - said he would return for a second series, but he would prefer it if Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Will.i.am all did too...
However, Sir Tom revealed: "There are going to be changes made because they want to make the show the best it can be."

I never watched it myself I was more intrested on a weekend getting out if pub or walking dog why stay in to watch crap on tv only couch potatos stay in on a saturday night its all been shown as fixed anyway like fix-factor none of your votes get counted its just a money making machine...don't vote and these shows will soon die off..anything with a phone now to vote just shows you its fixed...never waste my cash on votes sorry but I am sane sometimes lol

The Beeb got the money for this by selling the rights to Formula One. And of course to keep the repeats/old stuff they show on the BBC3/BBC4. Personally I would have rather kept F1 and the fact that the ratings had been higher in the years since the Beeb took over... ITV could have kept the 'talent(less)' shows!

Why bother? The BBC dont know how to promote the show or any winning act, so its not going to find the "next big thing".....love or loathe (I'm the latter!) Cowell but he knows how to sell....

I hope they all lose the voice. We need some decent comedy on/ or a programme when ordinary families can win a holiday, or a game, when you can win all your university fees/ win driving lessons/ win a days football coaching with your favourite team. Telly is dull now, too much celebrity programmes

I cannot even remember the name that won. I do know that she was one of Tom Jones choice. I was not happy that she had won at all. She would not have appealed to any group apart from, Butlins fans, nursing homes oR Bingo women.... I take it she will be back in Butlins entertaining the usual mob. During the first few weeks The Voice was quite amusing to watch.., a new way to finding talent.. However it became mundane due the judging being all wrong.. There were others which should have been chosen but were not and that is why the show went down hill....Tom is the only mature icon amongst them but his girl has failed to make anything of herself. Jess is back to recording and that girl has a lot more to achieve due to her talent. Time will tell I suppose...

Surely Sir Tom, cannot be seriously considering participating in such a horrific 'show' again....
After the initial selection process, 'The Voice' tried to emulate the 'X Factor'...and failed miserably. Rather than worry about the judges, perhaps it's creators need to re-format the whole programme. I was surprised to see that when a 'judge' pressed his/her 'button, it didn't prohibit any other judge from pressing theirs....so what's the point?....They may just as well. let the competitors, have a 'free for all'...and let them choose their mentor, from the outset.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Personally, I think that all the so called talent shows, The Voice and the other shows run by that smug prat and his band of talentless judges should be taken off and replaced with decent programmes. Comedy, action thrillers, science fiction or musicals. At least viewers will have some light entertainment in their lives which will perk them up after a hard day's work. All these reality shows etc are just scrapping the barrel and the TV companies are getting away with cheap rubbish, which they advertise as entertainment.
