Team Jessie J - Cassius Henry v David Faulkner
Cassius Henry is a 32-year-old from London. Signed at a young age, he appeared on Top of the Pops, worked with Kanye West and toured with R Kelly. At the Blind Auditions, Cassius impressed with Closer by Ne-Yo. Meanwhile, David Faulkner (in the cap) took on a massive Motown hit with Stevie Wonder's Superstition.
Cassius and David went head-to-head singing Michael Jackson's Beat It, because coach Jessie wanted it to be like a fight, and a fight it was! Will.i.am was wowed by the guys' performance, and Danny agreed. However the choice was Jessie's.
She chose Cassius to go through to the live shows, so it's bye-bye David!

It puzzles me why it needs two people to present the show ? One could do the job and earn the huge pay they get. Like a game of ping pong one says a few lines then the other.What a waste of cash paying 2 presenters.Make them earn their pay and have one presenter.

What a joke the Voice is!
During the 'Blind Audition,' they are judged on voices; but now, during the battle they choose the younger person, in most instances. Just another version of the XFactor but with a different name!
Besides, they got rid of some decent singers because of this stupid format.

This program has definatly taken a turn for the worse, all we had last night and tonight was a series of shouting contests, with each trying to outdo the other. No rhyme or reason for this and an unequal lot of 'results'.

farcical really, it'll all come down to looks and age in the end, same old story. if they'd done the whole thing blind then i suspect we would be seeing very different results. they just want what what they know will sell, and thats youth and good looks. now it's just xfactor rebranded

The show for me has just turned into who can shout the loudest............shame because before this weekent I thoroughly enjoyed the show...............It could have been done a different way surely than putting the contestants into two's and trying to see which one could outdo the other in terms of volume....................Because that is what has come down to.......a good show thoroughly spoilt.

To be honest.
Every singer through or not through have been better than any x factor contestant i have ever seen orr heard bar one, leona lewis.
Solely judged on THE VOICE and not some big headed look at me K__B.
Wil i Am i think is as honest as day follows night and will win this competition. Sorry Tom, Jessie and Danny.
The man to your right clearly Knows what the future of music is going to be.

1 - They are "screaming" as some of you are (wrongly) pointing out because its a battle round, to have their voice heard, overpower and emphasize their range. Its not a format meant to be sung in a quite, softly softly voice. I would be very surprised if they are quite so over powering in the individual live performances.
2- Refreshingly the majority of the 90 minute run time is actually spent on the acts performing. That is very unlike X Factor/BGT where there is an enormous amount of adverts, build up and completely irrelevant time on the judges daily chit chat, make-up, coming & goings etc.
3 - 90% of the singers were better than anyone i have seen on X Factor.

I think the judging was poor and some of the best singrs were voted out. It seemed a bit ageist to me!

They pitched two bad singers and 2 good singers against each other. Then they voted off the best singer in the whole competition J Mary Cooper. "Plot lost"
turning into another farce saddly and it had so much potential to be a different and honest competition. Now it's not about the voice but the potential. Re name the program "The Potential"

Indeed Denise, I agree! I was so dissapointed in Danny when he picked Max over Bill in one of the first contests of the night!
Max has nothing left...no evolution, no potential...don't expect anything but generic Max from now on...he's great but Bill killed him!

The Voice is a great stage for attracting true talent. My only gripe is the battling scream down! :( ear plugs were needed at certain points where the singing (screaming!) just sounded like two cats marking their territory. Vocal quality did go out the window at times during that stage but lets see how things progress moving forward.

The show is good but the the singers seem to scream a lot rather than sing which I really hate & would never buy records where people just whine loud.
Judging should NOT be based on Age but on Talent & I was disappointed that they kept choosing because someone was 17 & they were once 17 - so what - everyone has dreams no matter what age - some are luckier to get the chance earlier than others so I was not impressed by some choices. The principle is good but you also cannot have 2 people singing against one. They should have made pairs compete against each other. Some fine tuning to the show remains so let's see how it progresses but if the attitudes do not improve re age, etc., I would be bored & not watch.

Colin (Goldenthroat), you took the words out of my mouth. I whole heartedly agree with the point of the show having gotten lost last night. Danny and Will.i.am definitely should have chosen the better singers and not the singers with the most potential. As you rightfully say, it is called The Voice, not The Potential!!

Have been watching this program with great interest, my 1st thought was "Oh no not another Talent contest". But hey!!!! it is brill, i was amazed at the real talent out there. We have great judges who have a wealth of experience, so come on Britain we have some of the best vocals in the world, lets show them what we can do. But do you think we are putting to much pressure on their voices, as they are shouting / and battling to hard, i somtimes am unable to hear the lyrics.So singer's spoil their real talent by doing this, but then it is human nature that when you hear the word battle, you go for it, because it's their chance of a life time. Lets just hope the live show will allow us to enjoy this talent.

You could almost hear the cogs whirring in the judges heads: "Who can I easily sell to the public? Who's got the best "Journey" here?"
Totally negates the original U.S.P. which was that it WASN'T about image and youth. You couldn't now slip a fag paper between this and X Factor.

Agree with Max totally. Loving this show.....hate X Factor and Britains got talent, this is so much better. Can't wait to see who wins it :O)

The "voices" are pretty good, on the whole, but there are, perhaps, too many "shouters". The idea of concentrating on "voice" rather than "image" is a good one. Trouble is, now the "voices" are all chosen for the later stages of the contest, we - and the judges/coaches - now know what they look like, how old they are etc. etc. - which seems to defeat the object of this "it's all about the voice" notion.

This show is knocking spots of the X Factor (which I have found impossible to watch for years). It's slick with a perfect mix of judges who all know exactly what they are talking about without sarcasm, nor humiliation. The acts aren't being forced to dress in unflattering clothes, wear layers of make-up, nor change their personal style. They just go out, looking good, and do what they are there for. Barbara and Leanne were absolutely phenominal and I was very impressed by some of the other duets, too. I think it's easy to see why it's high in the ratings - they have the format right and this is what music should be about.

Was enjoying The Voice up until now!
Now it is absolutely NOT fair!
Between each of two singers battling it out you could be sure:
1. The youngest would be picked - regardless of quality of voice
2. the slim one would be picked - regardless of voice
3 Those who pulled the poor little me(crying/large sad eyes) women & men (or should I say ponsy boys) This will destroy me if you DO NOT PICK ME!!!!
They picked some who were good alround.
But I won't be watching it again. Lost my faith in the judges sorry COACHES.
