The Voice UK: Jessie J's mic fails during group performance

The Voice UK continues its mission to find a supreme new talent. Coaches Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue are whittling down their teams in preparation for the final.
However, there are some instances you just can't prepare for as Jessie J found out during her group's performance of We Are Young by Fun.
As the song got underway, viewers saw the Price Tag singer indicate that she couldn't hear anything. 'My mic isn't on. I'm sorry," she cried. "I'm sorry to do this on live TV, can we start again because I want to make it perfect." Jessie J then apologised to viewers at home for the technical problem.
The next incident occurred later in the programme when young Becky Hill appeared to mouth a swear word on camera after forgetting the words to Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Presenter Holly Willoughby apologised, but Becky was clearly upset by her performance.

A true professional would have twinned with one of the contestants and carried on then apologised after the event. Get over it Jessie.

This show was great during the blind auditions, but now is like any other talent show where image counts. I find these overpriced egos, Jessie J's for example, quite, nauseauting, and Tom Jones is clearly out of his comfort zone, whilst Donny doesn't appear to be comfortable in his decision making and constantly seeks the approval of the other judges. The sooner it comes to an end, the better.

Stop comparing the "talents" on Briton's got Talent to singers on the programme called The Voice. BGT is about variety which is so lacking on weekend tv now-a-days. What's wrong with entertainment that the WHOLE family can enjoy together. There are plenty of tv stations that are devoted to today's music scene so that the youth can enjoy, what a lot of us consider to be, wailing, sexual giration, foul language, screeching, ear splitting noise, in the confines of their own rooms. Bring back the family element to weekend tv especially the BBC to whom the greater majority of us older viewers hand over the most for tv licences. TALENT is not just being able to sing. The dog act was supurb and showed the love and devotion needed to perfect the act (in fact 3 different complicated sets).

Thought when they first started this it was about the voice but its everythink but the voice its a crap version of the xfactor and thats crap and why does the bald bird cry every damm week about losing her barnet.

Why has Jessie J taken on an urban-black persona .. attitude? Does she think it makes her look cool? After her group performance, she said, "YEAH MUN, that's how we do it live." I wanted to laugh out loud ... but instead I just frowned, puzzled.

The program started out quite well, but its turned into a complete farce with none of the judges giving a damn about the contestants just adopting a `me me me` attitude to everything they say. And what a viper tongued witch jessie jay has turned out to be, no wonder they switched off her mike. Not even Holly Willoughby`s cleaveage can save this sorry mess.

all of these programmes are a load of gash, at least there are some damn good singers on the voice, i wish people would let up on jessie j and at least its not going to be a f**king dog that wins the thing and to that spooner guys comment going on about real news i quite agree there are bigger things going on in the world than this but why did you come on here it must have intrested you enough to bother to write a comment and also at least simon i am so smug cowell is getting no money from it. thank you

Her mic broke, she is like a broken record on that dam show, she has no talent, she has not got enough expereince to judge anybody, I find jessie j to be extremely anoying, she goes on like a silly little girl in the playground, the voice show should be axed, its awful, boring, sir tom jones is a million miles better than this, you can tell that jessie j gets on his nerves and everybody elses nerves

You never stop a song and start again, unless you're a complete novice. You grab a mic from someone else and let the techies sort out the logistics of it all. And if you really know what you're doing, you make the whole fiasco into an exciting and memorable event.
Talent shows like this only demonstrate the importance of learning stagecraft the hard way - by performing in front of many many live audiences, not singing a couple of time on TV.
