The Voice UK features a unique spin on other singing contests; coaches SirTom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue don't get to see theperformer until they make their final decision. So what happened on theshow? Find out in this gallery.
Jaz sang The A Team by Ed Sheeran and impressed all the judges with his emotional performance. Will turned around and picked him up pretty much by default as the other coaches' teams were already full.
Little did anyone know that the night's biggest drama was yet to ensue. Jessie asked if he could sing anything else and Jaz responded with an astonishing rendition of Ordinary People by John Legend, which made Will and Jessie cry.

This guy is the closest I've ever seen to Luther Vandross. This is a real talent show. It's finding people who can potentially go on to become legends and inspire others to become musicians; something which this generation of music seriously lacks.

Well said Kate Kendal! I hate the way people come on these comment sections and rip into the people that like these shows. I don't watch them personally, not my kind of thing at all and by all means come on here and say you don't like them if you want to, that's what the comments section is for. But just because you don't like them doesn't make the people that do stupid or gullible. Keep your insults to yourself.

Do you know what the best response is when you read an idiotic comment on sites like this? Answer: do not respond.
There is a section of our society that serve no other function than to be critical of others. Not because criticism is needed or even deserved. But just because they have such sad lives that the only way they know of interaction with real people is by trying to instigate a response. otherwise, the only other friend they have in the world is their mother, the one who defends them even though they are low life good for nothings. Probably a sign that mother feels she must defend or be recognised as a failure for breeding a misfit.
So there you have it: STOP RESPONDING. They will go away and curl up in a corner wallowing in self pity. Mother will still slide a plate of sandwiches under the bedroom door every so often.

Forget the singers, they wouldn't be there if they couldn't sing, I'm just impressed with empathy of the judges, always positive and encouraging. I couldn't imagine having that type of talent as mine lie else where but hats off to the judges. Will I Am you showed your passion, stuck to guns and could see that those songs meant a lot to you. Were all here for a reason, as an artist i appreciate art and acknowledge everyone especially those better than me. I can only imagine as musicians you do the same. You guys have put faith back in these type of shows. good on you guys!

I saw this performance and it was absolutely beautiful; moving several people, including two of the judging panel, to tears. Some reality shows are extremely poor and someone with little talent can be hailed as a star. But I feel sorry for the people who are not moved by beauty and emotion, their lives must be very drab.

I did not watch the show but seen the comments and felt it was important to comment. I will ensure that I watch the show on catch up but can I ask what gives certain individuals the right to comment on who can and can't sing? For instance Linda Lumsden, can you sing or have you tried to get up in front of a crowd and give them your all? People like you are always to quick to say how good people are or not at things, like yourself. There are things you are probably better at, judgement of individuals abilities ??? What is not good for you is good for someone else. If you have nothing good to say then I suggest you say nothing and if you can do better then please lets see you on stage on the next audition see if you make it!!! One day someone will cry for you!

Also saw him, very good singer, and it was an emotional rendition, of a not highly emotional song, just a great performance of it, wont have done will i am any damage, he did him proud.
Turned over to bgt for a quick look, tumblers playing basketball, followed by crazy singing, tuned off before the one worthy act came on.

Jaz was amazing, superb voice. Then I watch BGT and see the opening act, a bunch of fat camp blokes singing It's Raining Men (or "We're Sailing Men") badly. Despite being awful, they get through....And they wonder why The Voice has done better in the ratings!

love the voice. So much better than the car crash talent shows we have like x factor or BGT as much as i like both of those shows it gets a bit tiring watching them with an open mouth in disbelief at the awful singing or through a clasped hand across my eyes at the spectacle of a 90 yr old stripper. they are in my opinion ENTERTAINMENT shows. the voice is about people who CAN sing who want to make it into the industry. love the judges too. all have a unique skill set and all have made it in the music scene. NOT like x factor were most of the time you get judges who have zero talent themselves judging people with even less talent.

I remenber "Opportunity Knocks" too
and I think that we should feel proud that we are such a talented nation. I have lived in 24 different countries and believe me nothing comes near the UK's quality of TV and entertainment!!!!! I enjoy the Voice, especially Jessie J who I think really knows her stuff and hope it evolves into a true discovery of talent.

hmm..which sounds better? A programme where the judges are singers and know what they are talking about (The Voice) or some guy who was only only a "music mogul" becuase he worked for Sony ( by the way Gaymers or Bulmers I'm alavilable for your company because I am a fan of ypur product..)

a talent show called "Opportunity Knocks" where some of the biggest names even today, were
discovered - Les Dawson (RIP) for example and many others.
Of course, they aren't everyone's choice, but BGT, X Factor and The Voice are just new formats
of an old British tradition, scouting for new entertainment talent.
