With the glitterball trophy almost in sight, it's a shame anyone has to go. But Strictly's semi-final week saw a double elimination, and it was unlucky Holly Valance and Alex Jones who are now out of the competition.
Their demise means actor Jason Donovan, McFly drummer Harry Judd and Waterloo Road star Chelsee Healey line-up for the final in Blackpool next week.

Would love to have seen Alex and especially Holly go to the final, i would have loved to see Holly win it. Alex and Holly did try really hard and put max effort in and it's a shame someone or in this case two had to leave. For some reason and i am not sure why, I don't think much of Chelsee and they silly girl attitude she has at times, i am not saying she is not a good dancer because she is it's just something about her that i find annoying. Maybe her facelift or botox or what ever she has had done puts my off or something. I would like to see Jason or Harry win this, now Holly has gone.

Fix! The judges have talked Donovan up through the whole series. He's made more glaring blunders then even Robbie.
I should think Holly is well miffed and rightly so. She was streets ahead of him. I'm sick to death of his whinging whining voice and had hoped to see the back of him last night. CUMON Chelsee!!

Please don't all start getting nasty over this wonderful program there arnt many around. Most people I know think the final will be between Harry and Chelsee ,and its nice to see Jason in there to enjoy himself , I would have liked Alex to have gone through but didn't vote so cant complain. Sorry my only cringe is dear old Bruce he has been a wonderful entertainer but is now well past his sell by date and thinks he IS strictly he fluffs his lines, misses punch lines on his badly written jokes he is as funny as tooth ache, and ,i will clear this place is down to his big head and his own importance ,please someone new next year and let Bruce clear his garden

over the weeks jason has made mistakes nearly every week holly should be through not jason it looks as if it is gonna kill him i think he must smoke cus on sat we thought he was gonna have a heart attack holly should be through harrys gonna win chelsea 2nd and jason 3rd xx

When I looked at the slow motion TV replay of Jason's face as he was told that he was staying in, There was a moment of icy hardness in his eyes that transferred to his face and it said " I got away with it". I agree with Jason himself. He did get away with it. I think Holly was excellent, but she appeared to either lack fitness or that single-minded determination to win. Alex appears to be troubled by emotion and self-doubt.

i have taught dancing for many years and can only say that Jason WAS overmarked for his paso and by far the best dancer in the comp is Harry who should have scored perfect tens at least three times if it wern't for Craig being ridiculously picky!

Seriously, In my opinion Jason & Alex should have gone.
Jason has tried to act his way through every dance, and that stupid ' mouth wide open' look is unattractive: he made mistakes too.
Now, don't have a go at me, but although Harry is good, he's not 'that' good.
He looks very ordinary, but as usual in all these reality shows the judges have their favourites and can't see anyone else.
I hope Chelsee wins as she has improved vastly. She dances like a professional and deserves to win.

In my opinion the right 3 got through. I have voted for Harry every week, not so he will will, but so that I can watch the beautiful Aliona.

This programme is unique, all the dancers have won over and over again just by sheer availability to learn to dance and be in the show. I found the results spot on. Not sure why so many folk are hung up on the devoid of depth Harry and compare his dancing to Austin or Matt from previous years then it is techinically so so good but somewhat android.
When the cameras are off him he pretends to be nice but really he is displaying an arrogance of can't even acknowledge the brilliance of others. Chelsee is cute and such a good dancer - admire her talent - however, once again if I'd have done that last dance with as little passion or full sway of the body as she did I would have been dissappointed in myself.
Jason overmarked for mistakes - not sure what is being talked about here as the others e.g. super Holly also go wrong (in the Charleston) but nowt said eh!!
Jason to win - good bloke, dancer, Kristina trusts him and the best entertainer as he combines all elements in one package.

In my opinion it was a fair result with Holly going.She didnt quite cut the mustard.
Chelsee to win,she has been great from the start and Pasha's been brilliant too,a well matched couple. I hope to see them holding up the glitter ball.

Did the people who voted for Jason give him their sympathy vote? Sorry but he would never, never, never make a professional dancer. Actually Russell was lighter on his feet and that is what dancing is supposed to be all about all about. Alex and Holly's mistakes were better than Jason's best. 'A' for effort and razzmatazz should not have taken him through to the final.

I agree with the post by Jean Merchant. Kristina was doing all the dancing in the Argentine Tango and Jason did very little in my opinion. What was disgraceful was Aleisha giving them a standing ovation at the end as if they were the best thing since sliced bread.
Chelsee and Pasha gave a fantastic performance with the same score but no ovation for them. Good luck to Chelsee and Harry in the final.

Welcome to the "I hate Jason" forum. The fact that the 3 professional judges ( Alesha who?)
gave Jason 10's seems to be lost on the expert dancers posting on here.

I agree with all the comments regarding the over-marking of Jason's argentine tango...
what were the judges thinking of - Holly's argentine was far superior. Jason's performance
was stilted....and his partner did most of the work, which was superb...maybe that was what
the judges based their full marks on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holly was consistently better and should
have been in the final.

Sir Bruce is a legend, and has been in showbiz longer than some of us have been a live...so respect (but perhaps it is time to retire).
Harry is a lovely bloke and took the time to pose for picture with my friend's daughter when she was there as part of a choir on the show - it was semi final night so he didn't have to do that - nothing false about him, and certainly no arrogance! I personally preferred Holly and Artem's dancing to Jason and dolly bird...but that is just my personal choice :O)
Will be sad the series is over, have thoroughly enjoyed it all....first time I have watched it too! Hope next year it will be as good!!
