With the glitterball trophy almost in sight, it's a shame anyone has to go. But Strictly's semi-final week saw a double elimination, and it was unlucky Holly Valance and Alex Jones who are now out of the competition.
Their demise means actor Jason Donovan, McFly drummer Harry Judd and Waterloo Road star Chelsee Healey line-up for the final in Blackpool next week.

Tt's a shame Holly had to go but I'm just glad Harry is in the Final - they're all really good now but I think Harry has been the most consistent

I was never a fan of Jason, but then , I'm a bloke so you'd expect me to say that ! But I truly think Holly and Artem were better to watch in all dance requirements . Artem is a fantastic Choreographer, the Swan lake routine was outstanding.

Would rather Holly stayed and Jason went. He is a competent 'show' dancer, and puts in a fair amount of effort and energy, as can only be expected of someone with his experience, but in MHO, she is a more expressive dancer, and lovely to watch. This week's latin number and the 'Swan Lake' piece from a couple of weeks back illustrate my point. Artem's choreography has been superb. Chelsee does deserve her place though - the judges' point about her arms and movement were spot on. Her arm movement was lovely - not floppy, not stiff, very natural. Harry is as good as they say, as well. As to the winner, well, my money's on Harry!

Very sorry to see Holly & Artem go, should have been Jason, in Jason`s last dance it was his partner that was doing the dancing, he looked shattered but his partner was great.

I was disappointed that holly was voted out, her argentina tango was fantastic, judges love it but her her 36 points, should have been 10's. jason should have gone!!!!!!!

sadly Alex was the weakest & I think she knew it. For me I think Jason should have gone instead of Holly, but it was difficult to choose between them. Whatever, good luck to the 3 remaining couples, a really entertaining show.

I think by and large that the result was fair, although I too would have preferred Holly (with her expressiveness) to have got through rather than Jason (sheer hard work and showbiz), but this is marginal as I think neither of them would beat Harry and Chelsee into the Final. What a revelation Chelsee has been. She doesn't look like a dancer - until she starts dancing.
The public vote is flawed, especially in the earlier stages when the field is larger, but the margin for error decreases and the voting falls in line with the judges. The bizarre results happen in the earlier rounds, and I don't think they make any difference to the final result.
Russell showed unexpected talent and I think the peerless Flavia could maybe have presented him more as a dancer than a comedy turn, but I don't think his departure was premature, and I certainly don't think he was a potential winner.
Above all, I do urge everybody to get out there and dance. It is so good for you. I am a lifelong recreational dancer (age 68 now) and my regular partners range from 24 to 71. My teacher is 90 and he still gets through an evening's strenuous dancing. I love it!

i agree with nigel eagle, Holly and Artem were unlucky to go, in my opinion Jason, was never as good and he should have gone. It is of course not a dance competition and is stricyly a popularity contest.

I was very disappointed that Holly went, I thought she was great and that Jason should have been voted off, Harry and Chelsee well I would like to see Chelsee win as she has such good posture and her dancing is a joy to watch. But good luck to all of them.

Sorry to disagree with most of you, but I think it was the right decision. I certainly hope that Harry wins, his dancing is fantastic. Chelsee is a good dancer but unfortunately her ghastly accent and silly girl attitude just gets on my nerves.

It was a shame to see Holly and Artem go especially, after her consistent great dancing. Is it only me who thinks that Jason's tango was over marked? 
Still, HUGE congratulations to Harry and Chelsee who deserve to be at Blackpool, and either of those two would both make a worthy winner.

Harry is absolutely gorgeous and also a great dancer.
Chelsee is young, fun, bubbly and a little vulnerable, which makes her quite endearing.
I can still remember her first week when she was whirling around the dance floor like a
spinning top. A little bit out of control but lots of fun.
She has grown into a brilliant dancer. A very natural performer.
Pasha, Chelsee's partner is brilliant. I love the way he empathises with her and mimics
her enthusiasm and teenage behaviour. They are brilliantly paired and this is a great
first year for him.
They were the weakest dancers left in the competition.
I would like Harry or Chelsee to win.

I was sorry to see Holly & Alex go, would rather it had been either of them than Jason who is worn out after every dance, no stamina.He's heavy on his feet & an utter poser. My money has been on Chelsea from the very beginning. She is such a joy to watch , she is so light & graceful. Harry also is almost as good. Good luck to both of them.

I agree with Michael truelove (Mike1940) the programme should be renamed "Vote for your favourite entertainer" im afraid the dancing (or any other fromat) will always come second place when the public are asked to vote

Honestly, I think it was the right decision all round. One musn't confuse a brilliant choreographer with a good dancer. Artem is extraordinarily talented and always innovative and exciting but Holly, though brave and hard working, was only just able to do his routines. Jason is a good dancer and deserves his place in the final. Harry, Chelsee and Alex were almost foregone conclusions.
