According to The Sun, the filming of the very first Strictly Come Dancing 2012 episode was marred by a bunch of thieves.

The villains helped themselves to cash, mobiles phones and cosmetics after sneaking into the backstage room. One of their victims was the wife of Ant McPartlin (yes, that Ant) - head of make-up, Lisa Armstrong.

A source said: "People come in and out of that room all the time. Everyone knows each other so they leave valuables lying around. The room was full of purses, mobiles and make-up, all of which went. Whoever did it must know what a treasure trove it can be."

Security was quickly stepped up BBC Television Centre in west London and an investigation is under way.
