Sharon Osbourne: 'Simon Cowell's like my brother'

Sharon Osbourne reveals that she sees Simon Cowell 'like a brother.'
Forget Cheryl Cole and Tulisa Contostavlos, Sharon Osbourne was the original queen of X Factor.
In a recent interview with ITV, Sharon talks about the show, reveals that she sees Simon Cowell 'like a brother' and she also opens up about her son's current battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Sharon on Simon Cowell:
"We're like brother and sister. We row, then we make up. We love each other, then we fight, then we love each other, then we fight.
But you know, one of the first people to reach out to me when Jack was diagnosed with MS was Simon. And that meant very much to me. Because it meant maybe he loves me, just a little bit."
How is Jack doing?
"He's great. He's determined not to let this stop the way he lives his life. He's taking care of himself physically and mentally."
Has it affected you as a mum?
"Oh, yes. You go through the guilt, you go through the, 'Is it me, was it me?', and you go through the family tree going, 'Who died of what? Where did this come from?'
I've become even more of a control freak. I think I'm driving him nuts. He's got a headache and I'm all, like, 'Go to the doctors! I'll drive you myself!'. And I'm fussing and asking him what he's eating and all of that kind of thing.
He's as good as married and he has a baby, and he left home about a hundred years ago, and I'm still fussing over him. I think I'm driving him mad. But that's what mothers are for."
These things are sent to try us for a reason, right?
"Yes. They say God doesn't dish out what you can't handle. Maybe Jack got this because he can help some other people. Maybe he got it because he will make a difference in some way, to help them find a cure somehow. I don't know. But he's such a good boy. He doesn't have that sense of entitlement or anything like that. He's just a kind boy."
Which act would you loved to have worked with from the years you weren't on the show?
"I absolutely love those bonkers boys, there's two of them. What are they called? Jedward. I love them - they're bonkers. They've done really well. I'd have had fun with them."
