Mixed reviews for Dancing On Ice's Christine Bleakley

Stepping into the shoes of one of the nation's sweethearts, Holly Willoughby, was never going to be an easy feat for former Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley - after all, Dancing On Ice veterans loved Holly almost as much as they love watching the stars glide around on the ice.

So, it was inevitable that, when Christine took over presenting Dancing On Ice from Holly, she wasn't going to please everyone and, surely enough, the media were quick to criticise Christine's performance on the show.
The Mirror said: "While Adrian Chiles is doing That Sunday Night Show, Christine Bleakley is hanging around like a spare part on Dancing on Ice... The job doesn't require much but she had even less chemistry with Phillip Schofield than with Chiles." Ouch - but the criticsm didn't stop there...
The Telegraph scathed: "Having crashed and burned alongside Adrian Chiles on ITV's Daybreak, Bleakley is hoping her new pairing with Phillip Schofield will be more successful - and, in this opening show, she at least didn't mumble or spit. But she gave a demure little wave as she walked on that would have been better coming from the Duchess of Cambridge."
Despite harsh feedback from the media, Christine had plenty of fans on Twitter - one viewer tweeted: "Co-host Christine Bleakley proved she has enough live TV experience for this gentle show."
Another said: "Christine Bleakley looks so pretty, I love that dress!" We have to agree that she looked stunning in her floor-length red gown!
One viewer claimed that Christine was just a bit on the nervous side - they tweeted: "She was ok, but not as relaxed and bubbly as Holly. She might relax more as weeks go by. She looked lovely though."

We reckon it's still too early to say whether Christine will be a good replacement for Holly Willoughby on the show - after all, she's only had a couple of hours in front of the camera to prove herself, but from what we saw, we didn't think that she did too badly at all.
What's more, Christine's co-host, Phillip Schofield, also seemed happy working with Christine and we think that the pair had good chemistry between them, which showed up well on the cameras.

Thought she looked ill at ease & very much like a spare part. absolutely no chemistry with Phillip Schofield. Just like she was with Adrian Chiles. She isn't bubbly like Holly. I think she just isn't cut out for presenting on prime timeTV. She actually looks bored. Tonight she spoke to one of the contestants, then forgot to forward the mike, making him say i'll have to repeat myself, before she realised. She may look sophisticated but that isn't enough. For goodness sake bring back Holly.

Christine Bleakley being chosen to co present DOI, was a bad decision. She has no fun or charisma to her whatsoever, She hovers in the background, brings nothing at all to this show.
Who on earth chose her, especially in comparison to Holly Willoughby, she was fun, asked all the RIGHT questions of the panel and I used to look forward to her cross examination of them.
Bleakley has no talen at all. Holly and Philip were good together as they worked as a team and made me laugh a lot, poor old Philip now has this DRIP in the background, for all the good she is he may as well be presenting it alone.

On the first week Christine wore a red dress to cover herself up.
This week she wore something to try and show some cleavage .
Sorry Christine don't think you can copy Holly Willoughby you haven't got the figure to do so.
Everything with Christine is so false and comes across with zero personality.
The fact is if Holly wasn't going to do The Voice programme ITV would still be looking for another job for Christine or sack her.

Would you all leave Christine alone please she is trying to do a job in fact i am sure many of you who are complaining don`t even have a job.
Have you ever met her ( Nor have i ) but i have been to a recording TV she was not doing it she was in audience and was in fact the
life and sole of the programme. I guess most of you are english and therefore no sense of fun . If you don`t like her switch off ,then
your answer will be you enjoy the show well put mute on with subtitles but no doubt you will have an answer you lot always do.
There is no pleasing you so i will shut up. Stop moaning for Gods sake. I am fed up with you lot. Go live a life and let others try

Why don't you give Christine a chance? If you were the one taking on a new role in your job you would want a chance to prove yourself - the trouble is you probably haven't got a job so the only role you have now is to criticise others you pathetic human beings.

If they think they are going to pull back some of the ridiculous amount paid out to her in the first instance for the shambolic 'Fronting' of Daybreak they are certainly showing more front than her an affront to the British public!

I love show but Christine bleakely is ruining it for me. She is so bad, it is distracting. Please someone get her off. The show is everything to do with the presenting. it makes you realise how good a job Holly did.

I thought the whole point of the show was the competition between the skaters, she is after all only the presenter and therefore not the most important part of the show, give her a chance.

Has anyone seen lately how Christine is trying desperately to be 'liked'.
She was seen with Holly Willoughby at a Chelsea game and then went on Celebrity Juice.
So false trying to show they are 'friends' so the public might warm to her.
