Dannii Minogue fans will be disappointed to hear that the singer won't be returning to the X Factor judging panel this year.

Despite rumours that the former judge was set to return to the show, reports have now been circulating that Dannii turned down ITV's contract due to issues with how much she would be paid.

The Sun reported that Dannii asked for a whopping five-million-pounds to reappear on the judging panel, but she withdrew herself from the running when she was offered one-million by show bosses.

The newspaper also reported that the singer was also angry over Simon Cowell's decision to spill the seedy details of their affair in Tom Bower's biography of the music mogul.

The Sun revealed that a friend close to Dannii told them: "It was so upsetting for her to be described as one of Simon's 'toys' and for him to talk about their fling in such a humiliating way."

They added: "Huge sums have been put on the table and it's not convinced her. It wasn't about money. She could easily have got more than a million. They desperately wanted her."

Last year's X Factor judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos have all signed deals to appear in this year's show, with Kelly Rowland declining to return to the show due to 'scheduling issues.'

It is believed that Katy Perry, who has appeared on the show as a guest judge in the past, will fill in the fourth judging chair, while show bosses hunt for a fourth permanent judge.
