Cheryl Cole ends X Factor speculation

Ever since Simon Cowell, and US network Fox, dropped Cheryl Cole from the US version of The X Factor, there has been endless speculation about her television future.
Is she going back to X Factor USA now that Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger have been dropped? Will she make a return to X Factor in the UK following rumours that Kelly Rowland will not be signing up for 2012? Will she take her seat on the judging panel of X Factor now that Simon Cowell has said it's hers if she wants it?
This ceaseless gossip has bored the person at the centre of it all to such a degree, she has finally put an end to it altogether. On the social networking site Twitter, Cheryl Cole tweeted:
"X factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past .. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*#"
Yawns? That says it all.
Cheryl Cole was dropped from the judging panel in the US because producers apparently feared the American audience would not understand her Geordie accent.
There were also concerns that the Girls Aloud star had a "lack of chemistry" with fellow judges. However, US television critics warmed to her.
The New York Times wrote: "Ms Cole showed glimmers of being interesting." The Los Angeles Times said: "Cowell has said he replaced Cole because she seemed 'bewildered,' but on a first impression, she is much more interesting than Scherzinger, if only for her fabulous Geordie accent."
The Chicago Tribune said of Cheryl: "She seemed perfectly at ease with the other judges - and perfectly easy to understand."
Denise Martin of TV Guide observed: "Is Cheryl Cole really that hard to understand? Or did someone at Fox just owe Nicole a rather large favor? (Because frankly, Cheryl was awesome, made total sense and was adorable to boot").
Recently, Simon Cowell revealed that he still misses Cheryl Cole, nearly a year after he sacked her from X Factor USA.
The music mogul made a job offer, saying her seat on the UK X Factor panel would always be available for her. "She could be a panellist again if she wanted to - 100 per cent," the X Factor boss told The Sun.
But Cheryl Cole has now firmly put an end to further speculation about her X Factor future; it's over.
