New adverts for Amazon's Kindle have annoyed Downton Abbey fans, with many claiming that it ruins the mood of the show
Britain's Got Talent 2014: first look at episode one
Britain's Got Talent has returned to find the new star of tomorrow: judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden hope to find a new talent worthy of performing in front of royalty at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.
And variety is certainly what viewers will get in the very first episode which airs Saturday 12 April; there were singers, animal acts, dancers and one very original act from outside of the UK. If you tune in, you'll see a slickly edited and produced show with all the usual elements working in harmony.
You will laugh and, if you're sentimental, you may even cry (goodness knows Simon Cowell's shows excel at emotional manipulation). Although not allowed to reveal too much about the first episode, I can reveal 11 not-very-spoilery things you will definitely see as the 2014 series kicks off.
Let’s start with Simon and David’s famous bromance which sees the Little Britain star tease his Britain’s Got Talent boss as only he can. Just when you think it can’t possibly remain entertaining, it is. Mainly because Simon so often ends up as the butt of David Walliams’ jokes.
