Britain's Got Talent 2013: Attraction
Britain's Got Talent 2013 returns to find the new star of tomorrow: judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden want to present a new talent worthy of performing in front of royalty at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.
And variety is certainly what viewers got in the very first episode; there were singers, animal acts (in some cases, humans were the animal acts), dancers, comedians and one very original act from outside of the UK.
Attraction are nine shadow dancers from Hungary who work as full time entertainers. There is only one word for their act: stunning.
To Emeli Sandé’s Read All About It, they performed a poignant and emotive love story which moved the auditorium to tears. Amanda Holden couldn’t stop crying as they told their story through the movement of their bodies.
Amanda was visibly affected: “My goodness. I actually can’t speak. I found that just so emotional and touching. You just made me really think about everything. It was amazing.”
Simon said: “Guys I just want to say thank you actually for coming over to enter this competition. I’m always very flattered when people from other countries want to compete on this show and it is one of the best acts I’ve ever seen in terms of originality and it was very touching.”
So how did everyone else do? See how the very first episode of Britain’s Got Talent unfolded in photos.
