Britain's Got Talent is in full swing! Ant & Dec, Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden are trawling the length and breadth of the UK in search of Britain's best talent. What did they find this week?
Malachi is a nine-year-old schoolboy from North London who's been singing for three years. He performed Listen by Beyoncé, but stopped part of the way through his song after getting upset. His mum and Alesha joined him on stage to reassure him, and the audience cheered him on. The youngster sang again and received a standing ovation.
Simon said: "You're brave. You know you got off to a bad start, but you picked yourself up and people are going to like you a lot."

Like Holly Steele, if he's crying on stage, he's too immature and not psychologically ready to be paraded in front of the BGT circus, therefore wont cope with the pressure that show business brings. Wait until he's older - forget the money for a moment, or if you must, get him a record if he's good enough without this 'spectacle'. Obscene.

It's time they had a separate competition for younger wannabees. Some of the youngsters do have talent but performing in front of such large audiences and with 4 famous people judging them the pressure is really too much for them. A lot of kids are there because of pushy parents who tell their very mediocre offsprings how wonderful they are. Consequently these kids cannot handle criticism or dissapointment. Not sure what age the cut off age should be, but I would say around 14 years at the very least..

Firstly...whoever wrote this article needs reprimanding. The boy's name is Malakai Paul, not the other way round.
He was very good and will do well, but a child his age should not be paraded on tv in the way he was just to make more money for Simon Cowell.
I agree there should be a separate competition for kids with an age range of 12 to 16.
Children younger than that are not emotionally ready, and it's sad and embarrassing watching them.
It's obvious who wants to be the singer...usually the mother and sometimes the father.
They should behave responsibly.
An earlier comment said he'd been videod a year ago. Age 7/8 is ridiculous, let children be children, there is plenty of time when they are older.

not being horrible or nasty, but should kids this younger or younger be pushed into doing things and ruining there child hood because of pushy parents

Having known the family for some years, I can tell you that the mother has always inspired and loved her children, never pushing and always showing them love. The success they have is purely on merit and ability. Lets all show all the competitor some respect, after all it takes lots of courage just to walk on that stage knowing ther are millions watching.

me, my partner and little 3 yr old boy, all watched in silence, willing for him to carry on.. he was amazing and such a little stunna, bless him, hope you go far in the competition.. your mom is your rock too! x

Not enough is shown of the good acts, far too much chat & not enough time given over to contestants
There are so many good acts this year many like this lad, good luck to them all.

this wee boy is 'Michael Jackson in the making' he was absolutely brilliant!!!!!! Can,t wait to

Malakai. The lad has a talent that you are born with. Heard and videod him a year ago and I was blow away. In fact the whole family are natural singers. Whatch this space.

On a different subject ... the guy who played the organ and sang was so funny.
David Walliams asked him if he'd thought about being a comedian....He should take David's advice lol.
As he walked away from the venue, hand in hand with his girlfriend, she said her hands were sor e from so much clapping.
He replied ...he hoped he hadn't embarrassed her ! Just the way he said it was hilarious .
