Big Brother 2012: New Diary Room chair revealed!

After dozens of chairs in the Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother house, the latest design is reminiscent of something a bit throne-like…

Big Brother is back, reality TV fans, so you'd better get ready for another series of unhinged celeb wannabes running around the famous house, spilling their deepest thoughts in the equally-famous Diary Room and showing too much skin while they spend weeks locked in a house no bigger than the MSN office.

Series 13 of the fly-on-the-wall show premieres tonight on Channel 5, with Brian Dowling taking charge of the contestants who enter.

We've already revealed what the new Big Brother Eye looks like for this new series (you can see it here) but what about the iconic Diary Room chair?

Can one imagine the Queen perched on this regal throne? Perhaps. But probably not. It's in the Big Brother house.

The chair, which gets a design overhaul every with every new series, appears to be a royal throne. Well, it certainly seems fitting and in honour of the Queen's diamond jubilee.

In each series of BB, the Diary Room chair appears to reflect how the series pans out. For example, the series four chair was a bit boring and, as it turns out, so were the contestants. Jon Tickle anyone?

So, perhaps this means that the thirteenth series of BB will have royal theme and be filled with princesses, jokers and maybe the odd queen or two...

Big Brother launches on Channel 5, Tuesday 5 June at 9pm.
