Summer Bay's Heath battles grief

Home And Away star Dan Ewing has revealed how the death of Heath and Bianca's baby son Rocco will push the couple apart.

The storyline - which is yet to air in the UK - has won praise in Australia for the soap's handling of a difficult subject matter of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Bad boy Heath had been determined to prove he could be a good father, but when they lose their son - who has been in and out of hospital since his premature birth - Bianca cannot stay in the house where he died, and Heath is left alone.

Dan told TV Week: "It's extremely tough for both of them. Heath certainly wants to get through this together, but Bianca, goes into shutdown mode."

Left alone, Heath breaks down and is comforted by his brother Brax.

Psychologist Dr Janet Hall has praised the show for tackling the difficult storyline, but warned it could upset some viewers. "This is a traumatic issue for parents," she said.
