Emmerdale's Dominic Power has joked he is going to have to learn to protect himself from being handbagged by angry viewers.
The actor's alter-ego Cameron Murray has begun cheating on girlfriend Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) with her aunt Chastity (Lucy Pargeter).
Dominic told The Sun: "It's flattering that people say hello to me in the street, but I'm not looking forward to the potential of being hit by handbags if Cameron becomes unpopular because of the affair."
He added: "I might have to have some self-defence classes."
Meanwhile, Cameron will have to worry about Emmerdale bad boy Cain Dingle.
Dominic said previously: "Cameron is potentially swapping one whole lot of Dingle problems for another - that's where the drama is. Cheating on Cain's daughter with Cain's sister is probably not the wisest of moves."
