Scanlan says goodbye to 'tache

Emmett Scanlan has bid farewell to Hollyoaks, and his Brendan Brady moustache.

The 33-year-old actor - who has played the soap bad boy since 2010 - filmed his final scenes in the soap and ceremoniously shaved off his 'tache.

Emmett tweeted: "Last day in #Hollyoaks but I dont want to make a big deal out of it,so again..Lets keep this between us,yeah?"

He added: "What can I say that I ain't said already??? Oh yeah..." and posted a picture of his clean shaven face.

He also posted a snap of himself with Bronagh Waugh who plays his on-screen sister Cheryl Brady, and wrote: "I started my #Hollyoaks career with @bronaghwaugh it's only fitting I end it with her #LastScene

"Thank you to the stunning @bronaghwaugh... To the amazing cast and crew photos of you all wearing tashes,& personal messages u, I am so truly humbled

"And to you guys for following, thank you from the bottom of my shrivelled black heart.. Hope yis enjoy the upcoming storyline."

And finally he posted a picture of a presentation Hollyoaks clapper board with his start and end dates in the soap, with the caption "That's a wrap."

Brendan's exit storyline will air in March, along with Bronagh, who has also announced she is leaving the soap.
