Rocky romance for Chris Pappas

Neighbours mechanic Chris Pappas is in for a rocky romance with nurse Aidan Foster.

Chris, played by James Mason, and Aidan, played by Bob Morley, made Ramsay Street history last year when they shared Neighbours' first gay kiss.

But Bob told the Neighbours website the pair are set for some difficult times as he has left the show on a 10-week break to shoot new film Blinder, so writers had to improvise a break-up for Chris and Aidan.

Bob said: "That's Ramsay Street for you, one minute it's on, then it's off."

Chris and Aidan's break-up is due to air in the UK this week. But Bob hinted it won't be the end of their relationship for good, as he will be returning.

He said: "I don't think the producers have me back for my nursing skills. Lots more to come with those two."
