Red hot name for Butcher's baby

EastEnders' Janine Butcher could soon be seeing red over her newborn - by calling her Scarlett.

The feisty businesswoman, played by Charlie Brooks, is rumoured to be giving birth to a girl in coming days, with the name confirmed on screen in July.

"The name choice may be an omen for things to come. With a mother like Janine, this little girl is sure to be a fighter," an insider told the Daily Star.

Janine originally decides to call the baby Patricia in honour of her late stepmum Pat Evans, but soon has second thoughts.

Her boyfriend and the baby's father Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) then decides to step in and register the birth as Scarlett Patricia Moon without consulting Janine, according to Digital Spy.
