Porter: I like Theresa's edgy side

Jorgie Porter has revealed she "absolutely loves" her new Hollyoaks co-star Nikki Sanderson.

Former Corrie favourite Nikki has joined the Channel 4 soap as Mitzeee Minniver's sister Maxine, but Jorgie says the actress is nothing like her scheming character.

"I absolutely love Nikki. I think she's so grounded, normal and down-to-earth, a really lovely girl. She'll be a great little addition to us all," said Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen.

"She's going to be really fun and fit in really well I think."

Jorgie added: "Theresa used to absolutely be in awe of Mitzeee so hopefully she'll be in awe of Maxine too. Because sometimes girls do that, don't they, have girl crushes."

The soap star has been enjoying filming scenes with Andrew Still, who plays love interest Joel.

"There's a lot of stuff going on with Joel at the minute which is quite exciting, quite fun. Cool stuff really," she said.

"It's really fun with Joel because he brings out a different side to Theresa. He brings out a rocky sort of bad-a** type of person which is so much fun to play.

"I've never got to play that, she's always been sweet and innocent, even though she killed someone! There's a feisty, desperate side to her."
