Nelly Furtado to make 90210 cameo

Nelly Furtado is the latest star to be signed up to make a cameo on 90210.

The Canadian singer will be performing a song as part of her appearance on the American teen drama which will air in November, E! News has revealed.

Nelly joins Billy Ray Cyrus, Kellie Pickler and American Idol's Haley Reinhart, who have all appeared on the show last series, and it was revealed last month that Carly Rae Jepsen will perform during the opening episode of season five.

Nelly - whose new album The Spirit Indestructible is due out in September - has previously made several cameos as herself on TV shows, including sci fi series Roswell where she performed her hit I'm Like A Bird.

She has showed off her acting skills in CSI: NY and appeared on the big screen opposite Mark Wahlberg in action film Max Payne.
