Moon's con with Jean to boil over

EastEnders star Steve John Shepherd has teased that Michael Moon and Jean Slater's relationship is set to become even more intense.

The Albert Square bad boy has found an unlikely friend in the bipolar sufferer, but true to form takes advantage of her by conning her out of her money. But Steve told Inside Soap magazine there is still a lot more to come.

He said: "I don't know what the pay-off is yet, but we're building up to something big.

"The thing between Michael and Jean becomes really, really intense. It's such a bubbling cauldron!"

The soap actor also revealed even Michael feels guilty about doing the dirty on Jean when she trusts him so much.

He said: "There's a point where it all starts to unravel, and Michael does get a bit panic-stricken.

"But he likes it when things got to the very edge - he finds it thrilling!

"After Jean agrees to invest more money, misgivings do surface from the recesses of his psyche - but then he pushes them back down again."
