Michelle Keegan shortlist hat trick

Coronation Street beauty Michelle Keegan leads the way on the Inside Soap Awards shortlist, with three nominations.

The 25-year-old soap star - who plays Corrie barmaid Tina McIntyre - has been shortlisted for Sexiest Female, Best Actress and Best Dressed Soap Star at the 2012 awards, sponsored by boohoo.com.

Michelle already holds the title as Inside Soap's Sexiest Female three times running, as well as having a hat-trick in the same category at the British Soap Awards.

Corrie leads the way with 16 nominations, including double nominees in the Funniest Male, Funniest Female, Best B***h categories and Best Dressed Soap Star, with Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price) set to compete with co-star Michelle.

Street stars Simon Gregson, who plays henpecked Steve McDonald and Malcolm Hebden, who plays local gossip Norris Cole have been nominated for Funniest Male, Katy Cavanagh and Patti Cale who play quirky Corrie characters Julie Carp and Mary Taylor are both in the running for Funniest Female, while Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) and Paula Lane (Kylie Platt) are among those doing battle for Best B***h.

EastEnders has 13 nominations, including two for Jacqueline Jossa, who plays troubled teen Lauren Branning, and Linda Henry (Shirley Carter) and Gillian Wright (Jean Slater) both up for Best Actress.

Hollyoaks has 12 nominations, including Emmett J Scanlan, who plays bad boy Brendan Brady, up for Best Actor and Best Bad Boy, while Emmerdale has just seven nominations.

Neighbours has the most Daytime Soap nominations, with Ryan Moloney, who plays Jarrod 'Toadie' Rebecchi and Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) both up for Best Daytime Star.

The Inside Soap Awards 2012 will be held at London's swanky One Marylebone on Monday September 24, 2012.
