Lovejoy and Rimmer set for C4 show
Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer start Sunday brunch this weekend
TV hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer briefly make the most of their lie-ins as the pals pose Morecambe and Wise-style ahead of their new Channel 4 show.
The duo - who have just finished their axed BBC2 series Something For The Weekend (SFTW) - are due to revive their partnership almost straight away with a further series together, Sunday Brunch.
And they donned their pyjamas like the comedy legends after being told by fans that they had a similar screen chemistry as they prepared to launch the show this weekend.
Tim said: "We're a bit like the odd couple, we're a bit weird together. I do think people think we go home together and end up sleeping in the same bed, Morecambe and Wise-style."
He added: "It's a genuine friendship and we're on the phone to each other every day."
Channel 4 signed a deal with the duo shortly after it emerged that SFTW was being dropped, although their co-presenter Louise Redknapp will not be making the move.
Tim said she had wanted to rein back her presenting work anyway to spend more time with her family.
He added the new show will still involve cookery from chef Simon, and there will be celebrity guests and football banter.
"I often get women tweeting me saying 'all my football knowledge comes from Tim and Simon in the morning and then I go and impress all my male friends with it'", Tim said.
:: Sunday Brunch begins at 10am on Sunday on Channel 4.
