Lane: Nick not bad enough for Kylie

Coronation Street's Paula Lane has said she doesn't think Nick Tilsley has much chance with her character Kylie Platt as he's not wild enough for her.

In her latest dramatic soap plotline, viewers saw Kylie run away with son Max after rowing with husband David about Audrey's salon and she is forced to take a job in a lap dancing club to earn some money.

David's half-brother Nick finds Kylie working in the sleazy club and persuades her to come home because David misses her. But when Kylie texts him to say thank you, girlfriend Eva Price thinks they're having an affair.

Paula told Inside Soap magazine: "Nick's not her type at all. There's no spark between them, and in trying to help her, he's just being brotherly.

"She likes a wild side - and David's the one with that!"

She revealed Kylie will do anything to save her marriage.

Paula said: "Her marriage is massively important to her - it's one of the only things that's gone right in her life.

"Everyone has doubted David and Kylie, so if their relationship fails, it'll be a really big deal."
