Kym Marsh has confessed she is nervous about singing in the Coronation Street musical Street Of Dreams.

The soap star used to be a singer in Popstars band Hear'Say, but revealed she hasn't sung in front of a big audience in a while.

Kym said: "I still do a little bit of singing here and there but this is kind of completely different and to be going and being a part of such a huge musical production is quite scary.

"Obviously I'm going to be putting in the hours and rehearsing and everything. But I'm looking forward to it."

The 35-year-old actress and singer - who will play Elsie Tanner in the musical - told This Morning: "I still get nervous, it doesn't matter how many people I'm singing to I still get nervous."

Kym plays barmaid Michelle Connor in the soap and revealed she is hoping she will find love again after fiance Ciaran (played by Keith Duffy) left the Street.

She said: "There's lots of different things going on at the moment. I don't quite know who she's going end up with but she's surely due another romance."
