Kim Kardashian wants her own sitcom

Kim Kardashian wants to show off her acting skills in her own TV sitcom.

The reality TV star was among the many celebrities who made cameos in the live episode of hit TV comedy 30 Rock earlier this month and now The New York Post reports she has been inspired to do more comedy.

A source said: ''She really wants to move beyond reality TV and be a comedy actress.''

The 31-year-old socialite, who has just signed up for three more seasons of her reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians with sisters Khloe and Kourtney, is said to be inspired by Modern Family star Sofia Vergara.

The insider added: "She really wants to be the next Sofia Vergara.

"Acting is something she wants to do just for her. Kim wants to do something that wouldn't involve her sisters."

After her appearance on 30 Rock, Kim tweeted: "Anyone see 30 Rock tonight??? I had a blast!!!! Love this show!"

The live episode also featured a guest appearance from Mad Men star Jon Hamm, who recently branded her a "f***ing idiot".

But Kim and Jon are reported to have made their peace during the show, and laughed off the comments.
