Keating: I deserved what I got

Ronan Keating has said he deserved to have a tough time when his marriage ended.

The Boyzone singer and his wife Yvonne confirmed that they were calling time on their 14-year marriage in April.

Ronan, whose split came after he reportedly had an affair, told Magic 105.4: "It's been a tough couple of years - I deserve what I got."

But he said seeing his daughter make a film made him happy.

"My 11-year-old daughter Missy made a film this year, which is coming out in February, a horror movie called Dark Touch," he said.

Ronan, a judge on the Australian X Factor, said: "We had our first show last night and we blew the ratings with 2.3million which is the biggest we have ever had and we are number one show down there so that's amazing."

He said of fellow judge Mel B, who was a hit for her blunt comments when she had a guest judge role on the UK X Factor: "She's exactly what you want on a panel - she gives it! She's great fun."

The singer is also making his film debut in Goddess, which was shot in Australia.

"I loved every minute of it; I didn't want it to end. It's a romantic comedy; Lauren Michelle Kelly plays the lead and I play her husband and a marine biologist," he said.
