Nick Jonas has revealed he is hoping to be chosen as a judge on American Idol.
The 19-year-old singer - who performs alongside brothers Kevin and Joe as the Jonas Brothers - confirmed his name is in the hat for the judging panel of the US TV show and said landing the job would be "a dream come true", reported People.
He tweeted: "The rumours are true... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol."
If Nick is signed up, he would join Mariah Carey on the panel, as last month it was confirmed that the diva would be filling one of the seats vacated by Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, who have both left the talent competition after two seasons.
There have been reports that Pharrell Williams is also in the running for a judging spot and stars including Charlie Sheen, Aretha Franklin and Snoop Dogg have all expressed an interest in signing up.
The departure of Steven and J-Lo left Randy Jackson as the only judge on the panel, but he is reported to be taking on a "mentoring role".
