Jack is poll favourite as Kat lover

Jack Branning is favourite among EastEnders fans to become Kat Moon's mystery man.

A poll of viewers on the BBC soap's website asked which of Albert Square's male residents was most likely to turn Kat's (played by Jessie Wallace) head.

Smooth-talking Jack (Scott Maslen) received the most votes, with 34 per cent.

Pub chef Ray, played by Chucky Venn, came in second with 30 per cent.

Derek Branning (14 per cent), Michael Moon (15 per cent) and Max Branning (12 per cent) were outsiders.

Jessie recently revealed that even she has been kept in the dark about Kat's mystery man.

"It's really exciting! It's cleverly written so no one knows who Kat's secret lover is - not even me or the mystery man himself," she said.

It's thought that viewers will next week see Kat's mystery man offer her the key to a flat where they can meet.
