Hollyoaks bosses want Myra back
Nicole Barber-Lane would love to return to Hollyoaks in the future
Hollyoaks' Nicole Barber-Lane has revealed show bosses want her to return as Myra McQueen.
The actress has just left the Channel 4 soap after seven years playing battleaxe Myra. Viewers saw her shot by Dr Browning and fall into the water by the docks - but in a shock twist she survived and has now fled the country.
Nicole revealed to Digital Spy: "[Producer] Bryan Kirkwood said to me, 'Would you come back?', and I said of course, I'd love to. So he kept it open for me which is... what a fantastic ending, and then for him to keep it open!"
The actress - who is married to Emmerdale star Liam Fox - said she is looking forward to spending more time with her family, but would also like to do some theatre.
But she is delighted to have the chance to reprise her role as Myra in the future.
She said: "It's going to be great to see how everything happens, and how it turns out. I'm so glad I don't have to say a complete goodbye to her, and I realy hope the fans enjoy it.
"I've seen a couple of tweets saying 'Oh God kill her off please!'"
