Coronation Street newcomer Sol Heras may play a bad boy on screen, but away from the cameras, he is nervous over his upcoming debut on the ITV1 soap.

The Cheshire-born actor, who plays Michelle Connor's son, bad boy Ryan, from July 18, admitted he has butterflies every time he watches his scenes.

"I'm still nervous about the whole thing, I guess. It's such a big show, there's such a responsibility as being an actor on it to do a good job. So it's exciting times, but at the same time, it's nerves. I have sweaty palms when I'm watching it," he said on Daybreak.

Sol, who previously appeared on Hollyoaks Later, still can't believe he has landed the job.

"Every single day, when I've finished a scene and I walk back to the green room where everyone congregates, I have to pinch myself that I'm walking past the Rovers, on the cobbles and the pigeons are flying past," he continued.

"Every single day, it's amazing that is my job now to be there," he added.
