Gregson: Steve's in another mess!
Simon Gregson says Steve McDonald will find himself caught between two women once again
Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has revealed he has "no idea" how Steve McDonald will get out of his latest pickle.
Weatherfield resident Steve's attempts to rekindle his romance with Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) are thwarted when his ex Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) becomes critically ill and he rushes to her bedside, telling her he'll always love her.
Simon told the Corrie website: "I think Steve and Michelle make a good couple. She's not as bonkers and she's not as crazy as all the other girls there he's been out with. They were great beforehand, just some very strange circumstances turned up to rock the relationship a little... They get together and everything's fine and then Steve manages to mess it up again.
"As usual Barlow steps into the mix and everything goes Pete Tong. Tracy starts banging on that she's not feeling very well and everybody thinks that she's swinging the lead.
"It turns out that she isn't very well and then Steve has to go and visit her in hospital and Steve says a load of stupid stuff because he thinks Tracy's on her deathbed, so he thinks, 'I'll say a lot of stuff that she wants to hear because she's going to pop her clogs'. She obviously goes and lives and then he's got to deal with all that."
Simon added: "I've absolutely no idea how Steve is going to talk his way out of this complete mess! He's stuck again between two women."
