Gillan expects tearful goodbye

Karen Gillan is bidding a tearful farewell to her Doctor Who character Amy Pond
Karen Gillan has warned fans to "expect tears" as she finally quits Doctor Who after two years as Amy Pond.
The actress will bow out in the fifth episode of the current series along with on-screen husband Rory - played by Arthur Darvill.
The actress said she was glad to be leaving in an episode starring the weeping angels and praised show supremo Steven Moffat.
She said: "Steven has written such a fantastic ending, I expect tears."
Moffat said there would be "tragedy" in the episode, adding: "It is a heart-breaking farewell to Amy and Rory. We see the Doctor and his little Amelia Pond race through the streets of Manhattan to save Rory with help along the way as River Song charges back on to our screens, just in time to say goodbye."
This series also sees the return of the Timelord's military allies - the UNIT - who made their first appearance in 1967.
The UNIT, short for Unified Intelligence Taskforce, is now led by Kate played by Jemma Redgrave and make their return in next week's episode The Power of Three.
Matt Smith said that was "for the fans".
He said: "I think they like cyclical things and we have a good story. It was great to do an episode with UNIT and I hope the true fans like it."
