Faye: There's depth to Megan Macey
Gaynor Faye hopes Megan Macey carries on being nasty in Emmerdale
Gaynor Faye has said the shock arrival of Megan Macey's son in Emmerdale will help viewers understand more about her hard-nosed character.
The actress reckons having Megan's son, bad boy Robbie (Jamie Shelton), around will prove there is more to her than meets the eye.
Gaynor, who joined the soap in February, said: "This is why she is the way she is, because she's had this skeleton in her closet.
"Now we meet him and all of a sudden you understand a bit more about her. It makes her a bit more three-dimensional."
But Gaynor admitted she didn't want Megan to lose too much of her tough exterior.
"I want her to keep on her nasty path. I don't want her to go all mumsy and cosy... I don't think she will. There's evil in her yet!"
The soap star says she's nothing like businesswoman Megan, who has been enjoying steamy scenes with Carl King (Tom Lister).
She added: "I wouldn't like to meet Megan. A lot of people go, 'I can't believe you're playing that part, she's so feisty'. But it's great fun to play, it's nice to play a b****."
