Ex-Corrie star's fears for memory

Beverley Callard is currently starring in The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice
Former Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has revealed she feared she would struggle to learn her lines again after suffering problems with her memory as a result of treatment for depression.
The actress received several sessions of electro-convulsive therapy in 2009 in an effort to tackle her illness, which proved to be successful.
But Beverley, 55, said she was afraid the resulting memory loss would have an impact on her ability to prepare for roles.
She is currently starring in a national tour of the play The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice, and said so far her memory had held up.
Speaking on ITV1's Loose Women, she said: "I was a bit worried doing Little Voice because when I came out of hospital three years ago I had no memory for a while from ECT.
"I thought will I be able to learn the lines for this? There are only six pages when I'm not on stage, but I've done it and I'm getting better and better."
And she told presenter Denise Welch there was a possibility of a return to Corrie.
"I left last March and they did say 'we're not going to kill you, we want you to come back'," Beverley said.
