Sian Reese-Williams said wearing her fake baby bump made her feel pregnant

Emmerdale star Sian Reese-Williams has confessed that playing mum-to-be Gennie Walker has deterred her from getting pregnant in real life.

The actress has been wearing a fake baby bump as Gennie, who is expecting a baby with businessman Nikhil Sharma (Rik Makarem).

And she told the Star: "This has put me off having kids. This is enough for me, at least I can take the bump off and give the baby back.

"I did get attached to it though. It was like walking around with a cushion all day. I kept hugging it. And my body thought I was pregnant, it was really weird. I was eating more and not moving."

Gennie is set to give birth during the show's 40th anniversary live episode next month.

Sian revealed: "I'm not allowed to say too much about how dramatic it is, but it's outside.

"And it all happens very quickly."
