Dales' Liam: Dan needs to move on

Emmerdale's Liam Fox has said he wants his character Dan Spencer to get over his heartbreak.

Dan's wedding to Chas Dingle was ruined after less than an hour when he discovered she had been cheating on him with her niece's boyfriend, Cameron Murray, and was being blackmailed by her ex, Carl King.

It has now been revealed Dan is set to get closer to his friend Lizzie Lakely.

Liam told Inside Soap magazine: "I'd like Dan to sort his life out a bit. He needs to take care of himself a little bit more, and keep up a good relationship with his ex, Ali, and the kids.

"He needs to move on."

Nice guy Dan and pal Lizzie are set to get drunk together as Dan tries to forget his troubles, and Liam hinted things could get steamy between the pair. But a drunken fling might ruin their friendship.

Liam said: "Lizzie knows Dan isn't ready to get involved with anyone else, and she also knows it isn't the right time for anything to happen between them.

"But he's had a drink, and so has she, so this could maybe go a little further."
