Dales' David and Alicia find love?

Emmerdale's Natalie Anderson has revealed David Metcalfe may be about to return Alicia Gallagher's feelings after all, just as she thinks she's lost him forever.

Alicia is about to confess her love to her sister's ex next week when Val Pollard bursts in and starts having a go at him. Alicia gets so angry as she stands up to him, she punches Val and gets arrested.

But Natalie revealed to Inside Soap magazine: "As it happens, David's incredibly supportive of Alicia, and it makes her fall more and more in love with him.

"Even if he's completely frustrated by how she's behaved towards Val, he can still understand that everything she does is driven purely by her love for her son Jacob.

"In a way, I think that makes him even fonder of her - so let's see if it turns into more!"

Val plays up her injuries and as Alicia is already on a suspended sentence, she could end up behind bars.

Natalie said: "Alicia's not bothered by being in prison.

"She can hold her own - but she'll be so worried about what will happen to Jacob while she's away. It's going to be an agonising wait until the verdict comes in."
